I will use this as one of my main locations, as it is a prominent summer setting where most of the target audience would be spending their time if they are given the chance. I will keep to a bright high-key lighting and try to avoid sunset as it will be harder to see and understand the characters.

Intertextuality

I am still contemplating which intertextual references to use as there are multiple that could work within the music video. One intertextual reference I intend to use is writing on signs in order to communicate the main characters feelings towards the girl he has a crush on. This is included in many music videos and films, for example Taylor Swift's 'You Belong With Me' music video and the film Love Actually. With the brief I believe that the audience would relate and understand the reference from Taylor's music video and the film Love Actually more prominently than the others due to the audiences age and knowledge of social and cultural contexts.
